The 29th Scientific Conference of the Microscopy Society of Malaysia (29SCMSM 2021) was successfully held, organized by Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). The conference, titled "Advances in 21st Century Research and Education Through Microscopic Imaging," served as an excellent platform for researchers, academics, and scientists to highlight their research and analysis using microscopes and other imaging instruments. This annual event has garnered a strong reputation and recognition within the local and regional microscopy communities, making it a key event in the scientific calendar.

The 28th Scientific Conference of the Microscopy Society of Malaysia (SCMSM) took place from December 18th to 20th, 2019, at the Swiss Garden Beach Resort Kuantan in Pahang, Malaysia. The theme, "Research Advancement in Life and Material Sciences through the World of Microscopy," brought together experts and enthusiasts from various fields to discuss the latest advancements and applications of microscopy.

Microscopy Society of Malaysia (MSM) is organizing the 25^th Scientific Conference of the society (25^th SCMSM) on the 5^th – 7^th December 2016 with the theme “Creating Sustainable World through Science and Technology of Microscopy”.  This year, SCMSM is rather special as it will be in conjunction to the celebration of the 25 years of the society: Silver Jubilee commemoration.  The society which was called Electron Microscopy Society Malaysia was founded in 1991.
