This volume presents a diverse range of research articles. One study investigates microwave alloying using electron microscopy, focusing on the segregation between manganese and bismuth by peritectic reaction. Another paper examines the correlation of Langmuir isotherm, optical, surface potential, and morphological characterizations of functionalized dihydroxycalix[4]arene for lead cation entrapment.

Research on capturing anthocyanin immobilization on rice through ultra-high resolution electron lenses is presented. The adsorption behavior of p-nitrophenol in aqueous medium on non-treated saba and lady finger banana peels is also explored. A study on the effects of post-coating treatment on the physicomechanical and corrosion resistance of plasma-sprayed hydroxyapatite on Ti-13Nb-13Zr alloy for biomedical applications is included.

The effect of tool rotational speed on microstructure and mechanical properties of friction stir welded joint of ultrafine-grained AA 5083 alloy is analyzed. A paper on heat-induced shape memory polyurethane with the inclusion of palm kernel oil is discussed. The synthesis of facetted gamma alumina nanoparticles from waste beverage aluminium cans for potential catalyst support applications is highlighted.

Research on Si-Mo-modified aluminide slurry coating for high-temperature protection of austenitic stainless steel is presented. The effect of milled graphite composition on the mechanical properties and morphology of high-density polyethylene/graphite composite is investigated. The physicochemical properties of 3D porous chitosan-collagen-glycerine scaffold for potential skin regenerating template applications are studied.

Other topics include the first record of adult Brachylaima sp. recovered from an indigenous chicken in Penang Island, Malaysia, the effects of electrolytes on nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide formation on an Al substrate for electronic packaging, and the characterization and diagnostic leaching of gold-bearing mineral ore from the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
